Applications in the prescribed format given below are invited from Indian Citizens and such other nationals as are declared eligible by Govt. of India for following temporary (likely to be permanent) posts) of IN WEST BENGAL HEALTH SERVICE (BASIC GRADE). The number of vacancy may increase.
- MEDICAL OFFICER (GENERAL DUTY):
No of Posts: 1002 posts (266 reserved for SC, 125 for ST, 122 for BC candidates and 31 for Persons with Disabilities)
PAY: Rs. 9,000/- - 40,500/- plus Grade Pay Rs. 5,400/- plus admissible allowances.
AGE: (a) Ordinarily not more than 32 years as on 01.01.2009 for ordinary Graduates and 40 years for those possessing Postgraduate qualification, relaxable for otherwise well-qualified and experienced candidates.
QUALIFICATIONS: Essential : (i) Medical qualifications included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, and registration as Medical practitioner in West Bengal; (ii) One year’s practical training as House Staff in any Government Hospital or other recognized institutions.
How to Apply: Applications should be sent in prescribed form to the Secretary, Public Service Commission, West Bengal, 161-A, S.P.Mukherjee Road, Kolkata – 700 026 so as to reach him on or before the closing date. Application may also be submitted personally between 11-00 a.m. and 3-30 p.m. on all working days to the above address of the Commission’s office on or before the closing date.
