Haryana Government Would Construct Special Kitchens for Mid-day Meal in Schools

Haryana government would construct special kitchens in all schools in the state to prepare mid-day meal for the students, a minister said today.

Special care was also being taken for the personal hygiene of the cook, who cooks mid-day meal so that clean and hygienic food could be provided to the children, state education and health minister Geeta Bhukkal said at a meeting in Jhajjar.

Instructions have also been issued to prepare mid-day meal at one place for the primary and upper primary schools being run in the same campus, Bhukkal said.

She also said that quality health care was being provided to the people in all the hospitals of the state.

Affordable and better health care was being provided to the poor under comprehensive Surgery Package Programme, Health Insurance Scheme, Indira Bal Swasthya Yojana for children upto 18 years, Nehru Drishti Yojana, Janani Suvidha Yojana and Janani Suraksha Yojana, she added.
